In-office bleaching and teeth-whitening
Bright, white teeth give you a smile that can open doors! You may have noticed that your teeth are not as white as they used to be. Over time, teeth commonly turn a shade of yellow. This can be due to many factors, including diet, smoking, coffee, tea, colas, wine, etc. Fortunately, there is an easy solution.
Three levels of whitening are offered at the Lewisporte Dental Clinic. These include "Home bleaching", "Power bleaching" and "Deep bleaching."
Home bleaching: A very popular cosmetic procedure. It is a simple, conservative, and effective method to whiten your natural teeth. You will typically see dramatic results within two weeks. In the spectrum of cosmetic dental procedures, whitening is an economical way to achieve a remarkably improved smile.
Power bleaching: The next step up for whitening teeth. Here we use a specialized laser to help whiten teeth in less than 60 minutes, while the patient comfortably relaxes and watches television in the dental chair. We use the Lumibrite Chairside Whitening system. We also provide custom-fitted trays to allow the patient to continue with home bleaching to obtain an even more incredible whitening result.
Deep bleaching: Reserved for patients who want the whitest smile possible. It involves a combination of two power bleaching sessions with two weeks of home bleaching in between. Of the three systems, this one provides the best results. With this program, you will receive a free supply of touch-up gel at each recall appointment, for as long as you remain an established patient in our practice — with a maximum of two refills per year, which is more than enough to maintain a beautiful, white smile!
